Lynne Thompson
Lynne has many diverse interests, ranging from early childhood and crafts to history and literature.
She holds a Masters degree in early childhood and elementary education and has over twenty years' experience working with children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, with an emphasis on 3 to 5 year olds. She has a special interest in early literacy development and has studied at the University of Warwick in England, Concordia University in Portland, Oregon, Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, Oregon and Portland State University, Portland, Oregon.
Born in London, England, and raised in Kent, she lived in Newport, South Wales before moving to Oregon in 1995. She lives with her husband and two dogs. She has two adult children. As well as reading a variety of literature, she is an enthusiastic crafter, often crocheting for charity, and Geocacher. She is a student of local history and spends much of her spare time in pioneer cemeteries and studying the history of The Oregon Trail.
Lynne works as an independent contractor, collecting research data in the education and aging fields. She is also a small business owner, operating as an independent Scentsy consultant.
